Hi, I am interested in possibly entering one of my fiddles in the Landskappleiken 2012 contest for judging. I understand I must first be a member of FolkOrg so will need informaiton as to how to become a member. I would also like to recieve information about how to enter a fiddle, associated costs, dates etc.

I have been building and selling hardanger fiddles for over 20 years and have fiddles in many countries around the world including Japan, Australia, the UK, France and Norway.

My name is Rivkah and I manage The Wishing Well - an orchestral folk rock band from Australia consisting of 2 violins, cello, 3 part harmonies, acoustic guitar, bass and drums.

I would like The Wishing Well to perform at Landskappleiken.

A little bit about the Band:

The Wishing Well is a world-touring 7 piece orchestral folk rock band hailing from Australia. The Wishing Well toured the UK and Europe in 2009, 2010 and 2011. The Band's most recent tour in 2011 was very extensive lasting 7 months and included slots at The Montreux Jazz Festival (Switzerland), Edinburgh Fringe Festival (Scotland), Skagenfest (Denmark), Nibe Festival (Denmark), Cathedral Quarter Arts Festival (Northern Ireland), Canterbury Arts Festival (England), Croperdy Folk Festival Fringe (England), Neun Naumburger Naechte (Germany) as well as hundreds of concerts across Europe and the UK. In 2011, The Wishing Well took their brand of orchestral rock to the USA. In the band's 4 year history, The Wishing Well has recorded two full length albums, Life On The Border (2008) and Fire In The Valley (2010) which have sold over 18,000 copies independently. Their third album is due for release in 2012.
